“WOW 2”—THE CONTINUATION
Last month at our church Healing Service, I spoke on “God Wants To ‘Wow’ us.” I told some stories to build faith that God so wants to pour out His healing power through us that it makes us go “Wow.” Well, this is a continuation—
“WOW 2.” WENDY’S—REALLY? NOT IN-N-OUT?
Two months ago, on the first weekend in January, we returned to a great little AG church in San Bruno near the San Francisco Airport. The whole weekend was devoted to the Person, Presence and Power of the Holy Spirit—it wasn’t even about healing. On Saturday afternoon we prayed for everyone after teaching and soon had the room filled with about 12 bodies on the floor, so we went to the adjoining sanctuary to pray for the rest. For the next 45 minutes the power of God was so strong in the first room that the 12 spent the entire time howling with laughter. What was so wonderful was that two women got healed of severe asthma. If you know anything about asthma, you know you can’t laugh for any kind of extended time—but they were totally healed. This past Friday we got an email from one of them and got “The Rest Of The Story” as Paul Harvey says. She not only got healed form the asthma, but also the deep depression she was under, and the fear of crowds and people. Bu this is the part that got me. She had had food allergies from the time she was a teenager. She couldn’t eat beef, chicken, any leavening or baked goods. My God. After the service that Sunday morning, she took a step of faith and the family went to Wendy’s where she had her first hamburger in 10 years!!! This is how she said it—“AAHHH, it was sooooooo good!!! Ha, ha, ha.” Now, I have to admit, my first thought was “first hamburger in 10 years and she went to Wendy’s and not In-n-Out?” But hey, I figured “she got healed, she’s Queen For A Day, she can go anywhere she wants. (For those who don’t live in California, In-n-Out is the absolute best. As they say—In-n-Out, that’s what a hamburger’s all about!) But her healing made me go “WOW.”
WE DECLARE LIFE IN THE WOMB
Then, a week ago we went to a business office. After conducting our business we got to pray for the owners and staff. One woman had a specific problem. She had lost a baby in November to miscarriage, she was pregnant again, and she was experiencing the EXACT same feelings and conditions as she did right before she lost the baby. And she felt no life in her womb. As we prayed, we declared life and not death, we called forth the will and purposes of the Father for this child in the womb. We broke off fear and the assignments of the enemy—in other words we prayed for life and warred on behalf of the child. When she went to the doctor the next day, they found the heartbeat, and they now have a sonogram of a healthy baby. And yes, I’m just foolish enough to believe with absolute conviction that our prayers made a difference!! WOW!
DAUGHTER DESERVES A HEALTHY DAD!
Finally, Sunday night we held a Healing Service here at our church in Vacaville. One young man came with his wife. While she has dived into the things we teach and minister on, I think it would be safe to say, he has been a little slower in coming along. He came with very bad pain in his back and side. Before Carol did her teaching she had those stand who had pain and prayed over them, as well as having those around pray for them. He got some relief, but went for more prayer during the ministry time. He was able to report that all the pain had left his side and back. It was only the next day that we got the full understanding of what had happened to him. He had been hurt at work, several discs were crushed, seven years ago and had been in constant pain ever since. He was able to keep on working, but sometimes it was excruciating. And it affected his lifestyle—even to the point that he had not been able to pick up his little girl for those seven years. To top it off, he had a large lump on his back between the shoulder blades where that bone is. That morning it was gone and he was able to get up and go to work with no pain!! Best of all—he could pick up his daughter!!! WOW!
