IF YOU NEED HEALING, COME TO REGISTER # 10!
I heard the testimony right from the mouth of the 23 year old young man—I know him and I BELIEVE EVERY WORD! About two months ago he went in late one night to a store to buy some food. While waiting to check out, he encountered a woman who had hearing aids in both ears. After talking to her a little about healing, raising her faith, describing how Jesus is the healer, etc, he began to pray. By this time several of the checkers are watching as he begins to back up while talking to test her hearing. At one point he is whispering and the checkers can barely hear him—but the woman can hear him CLEARLY! Lots of tears all around, as you might imagine. He tells the checker God is in the house and then asks if there’s any way he can get on the intercom, as he felt God wanted to heal some more. And she let him! He began giving various words of knowledge for healing, including that someone was having trouble with their hip and that they were even facing hip replacement surgery. “SO IF YOU NEED HEALING, COME ON UP TO CASH REGISTER NUMBER 10.” Oh, don’t you want to do that just once? Soon people are coming up, including a woman riding in a motorized cart. Sure enough, she was facing hip replacement surgery the next week. After prayer, she got out of the cart and walked! By now, there’s a crowd, so he did the logical thing—he gave an altar call and led several to the Lord. Just another day in the Kingdom.
YOU GOTTA START SOMEWHERE
Now here’s the point. Before he slew the giant of praying for the sick in the marketplace in such a dramatic way, he first had to slay the lion and the bear. In other words, he had to start stepping out to pray for the sick, to have prophetic words, to bring the power and presence of the Holy Spirit to his relatives who thought he was crazy, to the next door neighbor, to the people he worked with, or to the total stranger. He’s done this so many times, it’s almost second nature to him now. And he’s done it so much that he expects God to show up—but it wasn’t always that way. He had to start when he had only a little faith, not a lot of results, but a passion and zeal to see the Kingdom invade impossible situations.
GOD PREPARES “GOOD WORKS BEFOREHAND!”
That’s how it was this weekend as we went to Gateway Church and Training Facility in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. Under the leadership of John and Ruth and Kari and Mike, this is an incredible place of God’s presence. We were conducting a “Takin’ It To The Streets” Healing School. It’s all about being “naturally supernatural” in the marketplace. So, we teach on how to pray for the sick, how to get words of knowledge, and how to get out there and “Just Do It.” The teaching time points to the opportunity to go out Saturday afternoon and actually put into practice what you’ve just learned. Before going out, we just sat and asked the Lord to show them pictures, colors, words of knowledge for certain conditions, and to speak clearly to them about where to go. It was amazing how people’s experiences matched up with what God gave them during this time. Then Saturday night we reconvened to celebrate the “Spoils Of War”—the stories of the God encounters in the marketplace.
GOD ENCOUNTERS—INCREDIBLE!
We had at least 20 people come up and share their experiences, and this was pretty new for everyone. I just love these two stories. John and Ruth pastor the church here. During the prayer time prior to going out, fire came on him and he saw a picture in his mind’s eye of a man with long hair sitting in a wheelchair, and he knew he was a vet. When they went to the mall, as soon as they saw him, they knew he was their man. Not only did he completely fit the description, but the couple’s name was John and Ruth. What a divine set-up. And even though he didn’t get up out of the wheelchair and walk, totally healed, the victory was in the getting out there and invading earth with heaven’s perspective. That’s what a young woman did when she got to pray for an older lady who was hard of hearing. Not only that, she had pain in her ear and in her back. After a couple minutes of prayer, all the pain was gone and she could hear. In fact, her own speech went from yelling to a whisper! Now, that’s heaven invading earth!
PRAY FOR LIFE—WOULD YOU AGREE?
Sunday morning Carol and I split up for her to preach at Gateway and for me to speak at the Coeur d’Alene Vineyard. We both had blowout meetings, but I’m going to enlist your prayers for this one. I told a story of how we recently prayed for a woman who had previously had a miscarriage last November. She was now experiencing the same feelings and conditions with this new pregnancy and there was no life in her womb. We got to pray for her in her office with some of the other Christians she works with. While praying, I told a story (the power of the testimony) I had recently heard of a woman praying down a prayer line and when she got to one woman she prayed for an obvious pregnancy to bless the baby. The woman stopped her and told her the baby was dead in the womb. The prayer team person said the Lord was telling her the baby was NOT dead, but alive. As I was making this point, I ended up standing in front of Mary on the front row, pointing right at her. Many in the congregation were beginning to cry because they got the significance (duh, I thought it was the great way I was telling the story). They told me later she has had 5 miscarriages. But now, here I was telling the story under the anointing. She’s not pregnant now (they had quit trying), but THIS BABY CAN LIVE! Would you pray for Mary and John to conceive and carry a healthy baby to life in Christ?

This next weekend we are in Orangevale for another “Takin’ It To The Streets” Healing School on Thursday night thru Saturday night. Sunday, we’ll be speaking at our church here in Vacaville in the morning and will also conduct a Healing Service that night. This is in preparation for another school at the church the next week.
