Desire & Testimony Married

OH GOD, DO IT AGAIN
God wants to marry these two scriptures. Psalm 37: 4 “Delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart.” Revelation 19:10: “The testimony of Jesus is the Spirit of prophesy.” Many times lately as we have done meetings I have begun by quoting Revelation 19:10. When we hear the testimony of what God has done thru you or to you, it’s not just a polite golf clap like you’re saying “oh, isn’t that nice what Jesus did. It’s literally a prophetic pronunciation of what can be again” in fact the root of the word means to “do again.” So, I tell the story of the man in Alaska who had severe pain in his left hip, even after the hip replacement a year and a half before. Doctors had told him he would just have to live with it. But he got healed in one of our meetings as I was giving words of knowledge. Three months later, a man in Seattle heard me telling this story–he had the exact condition–so he claimed it saying “if God would do it for that man in Alaska, He’ll do it for me.” He got healed. Then, in March, as I was telling this story, a woman jumped up and began running around the room. She had both hips replaced and no longer had pain, but could barely walk. The man in Alaska had run around the church to demonstrate how he could now do something he couldn’t do before. She heard this, then heard God say to her in her spirit “get up and run.” She obeyed–even though it meant interrupting me, and God healed her. She’s now running, dancing and walking like she never had a problem!

Now, back to the message. Sunday night I did a Healing Service here at our church. We were featuring the testimonies, stories, and experiences of the people who recently went on a missions trip to Brazil. But, I wanted everyone to know that the things we were going to be talking about didn’t just happen in foreign countries–they happen here too. So, I told this story:
HE REALLY CARES ABOUT WHAT I CARE ABOUT?
About three months ago we were in a church in Bakersfield for a Sunday morning service. I saw a woman come in limping severely and it was obvious that she was in pain and couldn’t bend her knee at all. In my heart during the worship and Carol’s message, I was telling God “that’s the one I want for today.” My desire was to go after her for healing. I got to pray for her, all the pain left, and as she was checking out her knee, all of a sudden she began jumping and leaping and praising. She walked out of the service perfectly normally! Last weekend, we did meetings in a small church which is new to all of the present move of the Spirit. The pastors and a few others are hungry for this, but the rest of the church isn’t so sure, and are a little resistant. So it seemed to be with one woman on the worship team, who I noticed had a little flexible boot-like cast on one foot. When she went to her seat, I noticed she seemed to be in pain and limped noticeably. During my message, as I told the story about the woman in Bakersfield, I found myself saying “and today, you’re the one I want!” I had no intention of saying that, but now I was pointing at her and making this declaration. A couple minutes later, she got up and told everyone that she had a broken toe, had no movement, but now she could bend her toe. Then to top it all off, she described how she has suffered with Plantar Fasciitis for years. It’s some sort of disease that attacks the ligaments and can be quite persistent and painful. I had her walk to the front, and all the pain and discomfort left. She walked out of the meeting a totally different woman.
THE TESTIMONY AND DESIRE GET MARRIED
And as I’m telling these stories Sunday night at the Healing Service, a woman we know from a church we’ve ministered in several times gets up and starts walking toward me at the front. She’s claiming the testimony, she is acting prophetically–the man in Alaska, the woman with the two hip replacements, and the woman last weekend–they had all gotten up and had put their faith in action. As she walked toward me she exclaimed for all to hear that she has suffered with Plantar Fasciitis for a long time, and now all the pain was gone!! The group from her church, who knew of her condition, exploded in celebration. And me, I was beside myself. When we put our desires before a loving God, like I did with the woman in Bakeresfield and the woman last weekend, and when we tell the testimony and claim for God to “do it again,” anything is possible. I think I’m on to something–God wants us to marry those two scriptures together.
TAKIN’ IT TO THE STREETS–IOWA AND BATON ROUGE
This weekend, we travel to Ankeny, Iowa to do a “Taking’ It To The Streets Healing School.” This is a town outside Des Moines, and we understand they are going after God in a big way. We’re looking forward to being with them. Then, next week we will go to Baton Rouge. Carol and I are both from Louisiana and graduated from LSU in Baton Rouge. We want to go back and see if we can be part of giving to those who have lost everything by praying for physical and emotional needs. We’ll report later. Blessings.
