Brasilia & Ribeirao Preto, Brazil
HEALINGS BY WORDS IN BRAZIL
We led the 23 member team for Randy Clark’s Global Awakening ministry to Brasilia and Ribeirao Preto (heb-ah-roun, pray-toe, phonetic pronunciation). This was the first time for GA in these two cities, and we led the meetings in Brasilia and the first 2 meetings in the second city, until Randy came in for the last 3 days. Great meetings. Literally hundreds of people healed through words of knowledge, and many more when the team was released to pray for the sick.
WORD LEADS TO HEALING—AND SALVATION!
In the first meeting, I had a word of knowledge for a “soccer star who kicks with his right foot, but had injured the left foot.” A young man found me at the end of the meeting with one of the young leaders of the church. They had been witnessing to this young man for months. The first thing out of his mouth was “How did you know—that was exactly what was wrong with me. I haven’t believed any of this was real, but I was healed tonight—how did you know?” I explained it to him, and then heard myself say “Jesus came and touched you on the outside tonight, would you like Him to touch you on the inside?” He said yes, we led him in the prayer, and the power of God came and put him on the floor weeping. He said later he felt completely different, light. I’ve always said the word of knowledge is a great evangelistic tool—when we introduce Jesus the healer, it becomes easier to introduce Jesus the savior!!
“SHE CAN SEE!”

In the second city, Randy was interviewing several people who had just been healed of something they had for 10 years or more. A woman testified about her healing, but then said she still couldn’t see past 18 inches—everything was just a blur. Randy directed her to Carol on the front row, and Carol ended up doing Sozo with her. Her blindness started when her father was murdered, there was a lot of generational stuff through the occult, and Carol led her in renouncing this. As Carol was finishing the healing prayer with her she exclaimed “I can see Randy on the platform.” When the screen picture changed she described in detail what she was seeing—remember, she had not been able to see past the person sitting directly in front of her before the prayer. Completely healed!!

IT WASN’T PROPHETIC—IT WAS RAIN!!
Now, I’ll be very transparant and open with you. On the day before we left Brasilia, there had been such a connection with the church and the team that they wanted us to come to their retreat center and participate in a prophetic act with them. We arrived and immediately started about a mile trek out thru a field toward a small mountain we could climb. The intent was for all of us to take communion together and do a prophetic act to pray for the city and to unite these two cultures in this prayer. When the first people got to the top of this small mountain, it started to rain. Now, if you’ve ever read my Fiji story form several years ago, you may suspect my first thought was “I’m leaving tomorrow, I can’t afford to get my only jeans and shoes wet.” On top of that, I REALLY don’t like rain, and wind, and especially not together. By the time we all got to the top, the wind was HOWLING and the rain was pounding down at an angle. And the Brazilians were so excited! You just knew the prophetic woo-woo people were about to have a field day. “Every time we come up here, it rains.” Now, I don’t want to be any more negative than I already have been—Graham Cooke preached on negativity in church today, but I still seem to have a ways to go. BUT—it’s the rainy season! It had rained EVERY day we had been there, several times a day! Come on—it’s not prophetic—it’s rain. And it cost me $25 to have 2 hour service to get my jeans ready for the next day. And I spent most of the night blow-drying my shoes dry to wear the next day. But, we DID have something happen that was definitely God!
PILOTS GOT SAVED DURING FLIGHT–AT LEAST THEY DIDN’T MANIFEST
One of the team members from Alaska, Craig, is a plumber by trade—and a tenacious evangelist. As we got on the TAM airplane for the flight to Sao Paulo, he looked into the open cockpit. Perhaps because he is an American, the pilot invited him in. They talked for a little bit, and then he went to his seat. But shortly before we were to take off, he felt the Spirit tell him to go back up to the cockpit. The pilot invited him in again, and then left to go to the restroom before taking off. The co-pilot told Craig “This is soooo illegal, you’re not supposed to be up here, but the pilot invited you, so stay.” We kept waiting for him to come out, knowing he wasn’t supposed to be there—but he never came out until we landed. The whole trip, he had shared Jesus with them. They told him they had never met a Christian like him. Somewhere on the trip, he led them both in the prayer and they got saved! Now, THAT was a God-thing!!
SOZO SCHOOL IN SAN DIEGO COUNTY
A really great trip, and now we’re home for the holidays and preparing for this next year. We’ll be down in San Diego right after the first of the year to do some ministry at a closed meeting. We will return to the San Diego area on February 21-23 to do a Sozo School in Carlsbad, in North San Diego County. Details are on our website under the Itinerary section. This is really important ministry training for the Body, and what a great place to hold a school. See you there. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
