Great Healing Story

YOU MUST BE DESPERATE
You know, there’s just something about this “pressin’ in” thing. This Foursquare Church in Vallejo has been fasting for a greater breakthrough, and they invited us to speak at their monthly “Fire Night,” and then to speak at the Sunday morning service on March 15, 16, 2008. The speaking fell to me. I was particularly excited about Saturday night because I knew it was to be about “impartation”—and I kept hearing this phrase to say to those who would show up: “Why did you give up your Saturday night—you must be desperate.” And it was a good night—better than even I thought, as I was to find out later. And then the attack came.
THE ENEMY ATTACKS
We had just attended Graham Cooke’s “Way Of The Warrior” Conference at our church in Vacaville before the Saturday night meeting. Many times after a great event like that, you’re excited, on a high, you’ve received revelation. It’s logical then for the enemy to attack, but for some reason I didn’t think it would be me!. Before going to bed, I prayed a prayer I often pray—asking for protection, only God thoughts, binding the enemy from causing bad dreams, etc. At 3 AM I was suddenly wide awake from a very disturbing dream, and my first thought was “God, you didn’t protect me.” And then the enemy was there to reinforce that thought and run with it. And here’s the point where I made my mistake: I turned to the enemy and came into agreement with his lies. Over the next few hours, I was in and out of a very fitful sleep, and was sinking down further and further with the attack of the enemy’s lies—I mean, he is the “father of lies” isn’t he? Then, the enemy attacked me with my own words. “You told stories tonight about healing—that autistic boy being healed, that woman not having to have serious female surgery after prayer—you don’t really KNOW that they were healed.” Can anyone relate to this?
REMEMBER!
But then he overplayed his hand! He said “You’re in this healing ministry, but you’ve never been healed.” While it’s true that I’ve received more spiritual and emotional healing than physical healing, there is this one time I REMEMBER. And that was my weapon. The word “remember” is found 164 times in the bible—might just be important, huh? I had hit bottom, but now I could remember a time when I was healed and it was not up to dispute. And it was of something I had had before and I knew it could not be emotional, it could only go away with surgery. But a day of prayer from 3 different groups, and the problem was solved without surgery—and I remembered. I walked into church Sunday morning thinking “the enemy sure went to a of trouble to discourage me—God must have a lot planned for this morning.”
Oh, did He ever!! The healings just flowed, and the church was so receptive. There was a grateful, party atmosphere. We just celebrated every healing. These are a few:
**TMJ pain of 10 years—gone.
**Knot on the shoulder disappeared, as did a painful bump on a teenager’s arm.
** A young man had injured his tailbone and couldn’t sit down—now he was jumping up and down on the seat.
**Years of severe back pain—total mobility with no pain.
INCONTINENT
So many more. But this woman wanted this one told. She’s been incontinent for about 10 years. Her activities over the years have been affected, as you might imagine. Constantly having to go to the bathroom, never getting a good night’s sleep. She came up for “impartation” Saturday night. I didn’t know any of this, even though she has been one of our faithful prayer warriors and contributors over the years—after all, it’s not exactly something you talk about. I approached her as she was waiting for an impartation, pointed at her forcefully, but never touched her—and then there was a “power exchange.” After the service Sunday morning, she came to tell us that she slept the whole night through, she had just sat through the whole service—without going to the bathroom! This was so big for her! And we’ve confirmed it four days later—she’s a completely new woman, totally healed!!
LEARNING LESSONS EVERY TIME
So, what do I take from this: Often times after a great event, we are open to attack. The enemy tries to get us to come into agreement with his lies. When we’re under attack, it’s a great time to remember who God has been for you. When the enemy goes to that much trouble to get you off your game, it’s many times because God has something great planned. And it really is all about Him, isn’t it? I have no idea how that woman got healed—I didn’t even know she needed healing from that, and that’s not why she came up. I just got to be the donkey Jesus rode in on. That’s what happened and I’ll take that any day.
HEALING SEMINAR
Our next ministry opportunity is one I’m excited about. We’ll be conducting a Healing Seminar at The Mission in Vacaville, CA on March 28 and 29, and then putting the training and impartation into action with a Healing Service Sunday Night, March 30th. Jesus gave all of us a mandate to “heal the sick” and we believe this will be a step for many people to begin to move into a greater anointing to see the sick healed when they pray. One of the things we continue to see is a lot of sick people—there’s a need for this prayer ministry, and what the Lord is doing in this time is absolutely stunning. If you’re in our area—come.
