DOCTORS SAID “HE’S GOING TO DIE,” — FORTALEZA, BRAZIL 2/21/10

A small church on a Sunday morning — special meeting since their Sunday services are at night.  We watched as they wheeled a man into the meeting in a wheelchair.  The removal of four large cancerous growths had left him unable to walk or even stand, and he had been in the wheelchair for six months.  While Carol spoke, Brian (tan shirt) and several others ministered to him.

ANATOMY OF THIS PRAYER–BUT, IT’S NOT A FORMULA

First, Brian shared the testimony of his father being healed of cancer — the power of the testimony.  Then as he read Mark 11:22–25, the man’s legs began trembling and he said “something is happening to me.”  V 25–”…whenever you stand, praying, forgive…”  The man had an issue of unforgiveness, and when he asked for forgiveness he said he felt something leave him.  Brian instructed him, “Stand, believing your healing has already been done.”  In other words, “Put your faith into action!”  With aid, he stood, walked up the platform steps, received prayer,  and walked back — to a chair, not his wheelchair.  And he later walked out of the church!!

Diana received an emotional healing during the teaching. When she went home, she was able to put this teaching into practice right away, and bring freedom to her husband for an issue. And, she had never done this before! This Sozo teaching not only brings results, but it’s duplicatable.

It was an incredible year, filled with many healings and miracles.  As I’ve looked back on this year, I have been overwhelmed at how God has used us and the people around us to so dramatically touch people’s lives.  Just one example:  I prayed and prophesied over a young woman in Copenhagen — she definitely had the Healing Anointing.  During our teaching, she heard my challenge:  “Don’t say healing doesn’t work until you’ve prayed for 100 people, because if you do, someone will get healed and you’ll get hooked.”  She started praying, people started getting healed — and then she prayed for her pregnant friend who had been told by her doctor that the baby would be born with Down’s Syndrome.  After prayer, and another examination — NO INDICATION OF DOWN’S!!

The following stories and photos are just a sample of what we saw God do this past year.

Act Of Obedience
Joey came to the meeting on Friday night expecting to see the “circus” – how he described some of the excesses he’s seen and experienced in the past.   And, he had needs – aching knees, ankles and back.  I gave many words of knowledge that night four of which hit him right on.  He stood as I began praying over the group.  At one point I felt like God had me say “some are getting healed in your ankles right now, and you need to begin moving them – you might even need to get out of your row and begin walking.”  Joey was the only one who did this, and he was instantly healed.  He testified that he was healed of four ailments, that he now could walk up and down the steps to the platform without pain, and he demonstrated how he could kneel and do things he had not been able to do – and we had him give his testimony for the next two days.  Wow!

Glory
God spoke to her 10 minutes before the morning meeting to go, even though it wasn’t her church, and she knew nothing about the speakers (us).  But, she was desperate with a debilitating migraine, diabetes, back, knee, and ankle pain.  You could literally see the pain etched on her face.  During the ministry time for “impartation for healing” (not even praying for healing), the “Glory” fell on her and she was gloriously healed and laughed like she didn’t have a care in the world..  Gave her testimony the
next day.  Wow!

Lump Dissolves Under Her Hand
When I asked everyone who had pain or a condition that needed to be healed to stand, ¾ of the room did.  After a couple of minutes of declaring God’s word and healing power over them, we had our first credible witness.  Hanne, the worship leader, was known to almost everyone, even those not from this church.  I had them put their hands where it hurt – she placed her hand on a hard knot she had for 8 years on her neck.  She didn’t expect anything to happen – but it dissolved under her fingers, and all the pain she had dealt with over those years and especially the week of the conference was gone in an instant! WOW.

She Suddenly Speaks and Understands English
Young Colombian woman, dancer, came to the morning pastors and leaders meeting.  Got whacked (surely a theological term) and began speaking and understanding English.  She and her friends confirmed she had not previously spoken or understood the language.  Since it’s such a poor area, there’s no reason for them to learn English as you find in the larger cities such as Medellin and Cali – always a problem when it comes to translators while praying.

Divine Set-Up
Sunday morning, first of 5 services for the church that day, and this one starts at 6:00 AM!!  I started by saying “you couldn’t pay Americans to go to church at 6 AM.”  900 people, packed out.  Young man on the front row with his left hand in the white bandage.  I had such a gift of faith — I absolutely knew he was going to get healed, it was just too much of a set-up.  I told some testimonies of healings we had seen during the week.  Some above the waist, some below the waist.  For the ones in the congretation  who had problems above the waist, I sent our small team, plus the pastors, worship team, singers, and ushers dressed in blue to go release the power of God to the 400+ standing, saying “All things made new, be healed in Jesus’name.”  Literally that short because we were on a time schedule – next service waiting outside to come in – and there were waaaay more people than prayer servants.  I touched his hand, and was praying over the microphone, exhorting the prayer ministers.  Suddenly, he began unwrapping the bandage and splint, then fell the floor weeping.  He testified, Jesus had come to him, said  “Don’t be afraid, I’m with you, and I love you.”  He had fractured his hand, surgery was scheduled, and he couldn’t move it.  Now, he was flexing it, and he shook my hand with a forceful grip –  totally healed!!

It Plumped — And Then Grew Out
This man had cut off 1/4+” of his little finger 15 years before in an industrial accident.  I instructed the people of the church how to pray, and as the 20 something young man prayed for the finger to grow, he said “it plumped, and then just grew out!”  C’mon!!

What an incredible year, and it’s only going to get better!!  Looking forward to the miracles of 2010.

OUR COMING WAS A BIG DEAL FOR THEM

Going on a missions’ trip usually does two things.  It stirs something up in the place where you’re going (hopefully being a blessing) and it activates something in the people going so they can bring it back.  We’ve experienced that on the 7 trips we’ve taken teams on.  This time we got an extra benefit:  we impacted an entire region, gave hope, and healed some old wounds.  We took a team of 18 people with us to a place (Sincelejo, Colombia) no American evangelists had gone to, even though repeatedly invited.  It’s not easy to get to, very poor, and basically forgotten even by the Colombians.  And the leadership there thought our coming was a big deal.  And to make sure everyone knew about this and got the point, God got us noticed by the local newspaper, and an interview on local TV.  It wasn’t hard – white skinned Americans that stood out, literally stopping traffic as one of the anointed team members, Craig Pearcy, held court to about 25 Colombians on motorbikes, extolling the wonderful virtues of Jesus, getting people saved and healed right on the streets.

WOUNDED HEALER GETS HEALED

One of the benefits of coming on a healing missions trip is to see so many healings – and perhaps to get healed!  That happened to Steven, who showed up at the airport on crutches.  Torn lateral meniscus – very much a problem.  Lots of prayer – and dancing as in this photo, as he was healed and literally carried his crutches back through the airport upon returning.

SIGNS FOLLOW BELIEVERS

Activation – our favorite thing.  I brought the young woman in blue alongside me to coach her how to pray.  The young woman with her arm in the air couldn’t move it prior to prayer – now, as you can see, totally healed and no pain.  We then had her start praying for others and everyone she prayed for got healed!

EYESIGHT TOTALLY RESTORED

The last one I prayed for on Thursday night.  I knew her eyesight was bad, and she got improvement, but I didn’t know the full scope until the next night.  We ended up at her church for the evening snack.  Through a translator, I was able to find out she had not been able to see more than 10 feet, but now she could call out the different fingers I was holding up from way across the room.  Interestingly, still no emotion – as if she actually expected to get healed when we prayed, so why get too excited.  Hmmmmmmmm.

SPIRITUALLY DRY – I DON’T THINK SO

When you think of Denmark, you might be tempted to think “somewhat spiritually dry” (trying to be very delicate).  Well, somethin’s happening in Denmark!! Torsten’s comment was “I’m not sure we can get more than 20 people to come – the churches in Denmark don’t attend things like this – but if you’re willing to come, we’ll put it on.”  Well, with an offer like that, how could you not go.  Now, admittedly, at first we were thinking we could only be there for a Monday through Wednesday night, but I don’t think it would have made a difference.  160 registered for a Healing Conference last weekend, representing about 20 churches – that’s virtually unheard of in Denmark.

WE WEREN’T ARROGANT, LOUD OR PUSHY – THEY LIKED THAT

Two students (Torsten and Sara, now married) from The Mission’s (Vacaville, CA) Potter’s House School of the Supernatural returned over a year ago to Copenhagen.  They’re now leading a “free” church and they are incorporating all they learned over that two year period.  This is just a great example of what the ministry schools in Vacaville, Orangevale, and Redding are doing.  And they did an incredible job of promoting the conference.  This is mostly a young church, with a great rock-style worship team that we believe will usher in a new sound to Scandinavia.  And don’t think reserved or stoic.  Holy Spirit showed up in power and they shook, trembled, fell, cried, laughed – and healings broke out among young and old.  While they have seen some healings in their churches, and there have been some conferences with healing evangelists coming in and conducting healing meetings, this conference was more about training them to heal the sick – and perhaps most importantly, they did!!

LUMP DISSOLVES UNDER HER FINGERS!

GOAL!!!!!!!!!

Saturday was about modeling and teaching them on healing, and having them do it.  And sooooooo many people were healed when they prayed for each other.  Sunday, we had another serendipity.  Thomas came at the urging of his girlfriend who had seen a flyer about the Healing Conference.  He was a goalie for a semi-pro soccer team, had seriously hurt his knee and was unable to play or practice for months, and was in pain such that it affected his work – at the hotel we were staying at.  We were demonstrating different ways God heals, and he was standing for the category of legs.  I had a team just go through the group and touch the person on the hand and release the power of God.  He testified all the pain left and he could bend and run.  We didn’t realize he worked at the hotel, but we saw him the next two days, and the smile on his face said it all.  And he was returning to practice that week for the first time in months!

HEALING CRUSADES IN THE NEIGHBOHOODS

What a fun trip, so much deposited, and how encouraging to see what God is doing around the world, especially in a place which has historically been somewhat dry.  Next, we take a team of 18 to Sincelejo, Colombia where more than 80 churches are banding together to stage miracle crusade meetings in various neighborhoods around the city for the week we are there.  Blessings.

THE FRUIT OF “MORE”

Carol and I took 21 people to Fortaleza, Brazil – a place we have been for extended times.  Ordinary people, housewives and moms, student, business men and women.  Willing to spend 9 days to see “more,” and to get “more.”  Some reflections:

GLORY REALM

We have both read “They Told Me Their Stories” several times about the Azusa Street Revival and the prophesy that the Shekinah Glory is coming again, only stronger (if you haven’t read the book, you gotta’ get it).  Carol and I touched that several times during the trip.  Carol also moved into something new – she took most of a congregation to heaven – literally.  We’ve heard of people like Bob Jones and others doing this, and now she did.  We’re doing a  Healing Conference in Vacaville and the “Angels & Miracles” Conference in Bakersfield the next few weeks, and we’d love to see God release it again.

A “SOUND” RELEASED

The church we attend when in San Diego, The Awakening, has a particular “sound” when the worship leader or one of the worship singers begins singing in the Spirit.  One of the singers was on the trip and we had her sing several times in meetings, and then the last church pastor called her up twice.  Heaven came down!

DRY NO MORE

The regular weekly Pastors Association meeting, held in a Presbyterian church, is dull (just being real).  Even our pastor coordinator said they normally spend 10 minutes “talking about God,” and the rest of the time advertising their programs.  But, many of our team had come out of, or were still in the Presbyterian church and Carol had been an ordained Presbyterian pastor (so, what a coincidence where the meeting was held), and that day, Carol talked about the “look of love” and their hearts were ignited once again.  Powerful!

TREASURE HUNTS

We were constantly taking our translators, or just going by ourselves, to the marketplace, boardwalk, etc and finding the treasure to minister to.  Just two examples:  young man, passed out from drugs, seemed near death, team member called back life, and he ultimately gave life to Lord.  Team members gathering at an ice cream stand, prayed for a man’s back pain, healed.  Others starting to gather, and there they were holding a revival on the boardwalk!  We even got into a hospital:  woman with severe stomach pains received prayer.  When the pain meds she had ordered arrived, she said “I don’t need them.”

NOT JUST HEALING, BUT PROVISION

Woman, about to lose business, curse put on business and she hadn’t sold anything.  Team member broke curse, declared God’s provision, saw woman at an outreach, and she excitedly exclaimed how business had exploded!

“IT’S NOT A TUMOR” – ANY MORE (said like a governor)

Large tumor on man’s shoulder, it moved, then disappeared under team member’s fingers.  Man scheduled for surgery next day, but when doctors cut him open, no tumor anywhere!  Woman going through fire tunnel, manifesting so they moved her out.  Someone said she had a throat tumor.  Team member heard God say in his spirit “No she doesn’t, not anymore.”  He declared that and she spit it up!

VISION & HEARING

Team member prayed for man’s mother who was 90% deaf, who was not there.  Mom called son next day and said she could hear perfectly!  Another woman 60% deaf was totally healed during Glory falling, several people got their vision to read up close back, one man’s blind left eye was seeing again, and I prayed for a man’s ringing in his ears and it completely stopped – the look on the man said it all.

We believe we are stepping into a new realm of His Glory, and we are excited to see what God does in these next 4 weeks of meetings.  We’ll be at The Mission in Vacaville with Dan McCollam for a Healing Conference and Kingdom Life Institute training meetings May 21—23, and then with Gary & Kathi Oates  for an “Angels & Miracles” Conference in Bakersfield May 29—31.  Check our website for more details and upcoming meetings – you don’t want to miss these meetings.

PUT YOUR FAITH IN ACTION

Then in Poway, I spoke on “The Power Of The Testimony” and we told stories of healings in categories – heads and necks, shoulders and arms, hips down to the toes.  In this, we demonstrate different ways God comes and heals.  We pray corporately over the group, or we have the people turn to someone who needs healing and we walk them through healing, or we send out the prayer team to “touch” each one standing and then move on.  I noticed a woman standing and she was flexing her knee.  She received a touch from a prayer team member and then the member moved on.  When I started asking for testimonies of those who had received a measure of healing, I could tell in the natural she was testing her knee and wanted to testify of some healing– but she didn’t.  At one point I said, “I believe there’s someone else who needs to give their testimony and it will release further healing” — still she didn’t come forth, even when I glanced at her several times.  By then, God was whispering to me, “If she will testify (and I thought maybe even have to do a prophetic act of walking) she will be healed.”  Finally, she stood up, testified she was a runner, had damaged her meniscus, and her knees hurt and popped – but not now!  Then I started walking her and it happened – the most amazed look on her face as she realized she no longer had any pain!  God honors acts of obedience!!

WHAT TO DO WHEN NO FAITH – DO IT ANYWAY

When we were to go to this church in Poway, I remembered it was there that one of our most powerful healings had happened.  We were teaching on the prophetic in 2000, but I got some words of knowledge for healing – pain in the foot.  A woman came, said she had pain in her right foot, and a huge degenerative growth on her left foot that the doctors had told her would cripple her just as it had already crippled her sister.  I have used this story for 8 years to illustrate not turning the “Principle of Faith” into a law, or the tendency will be to not pray unless you have faith.  That night in 2000 I didn’t have faith the growth would go away, but I prayed anyway.  Nothing happened – that we could see.  The next day, she told me during a break the Lord had told her to “look at your foot” when she woke up.  By this time she was weeping and I was looking at her foot.  She was wearing sandals for the first time in years – and there was no lump!!  That’s the way it is today, 8 years later.  No lump, no pain, no problem!!  Yea God!!

MIRACLES IN MEDELLIN

Incredible to stand before 2000+ hungry, passionate, spirit-filled, actual believers who have come expecting to see God move in their lives.  That was what we experienced recently on our last weekend in Medellin, Colombia.  And, God did not disappoint.
** A woman who had not been able to feel anything in her face for the past 5 years, got all her feeling back.
** A 12 year old boy, born with a deformity in his foot which caused it to turn in and fold over such that he had problems walking and couldn’t run at all, healed and running at full speed on the platform.
** A man on crutches in another church, injured kneecap and torn tendons, facing several more months of re-hab, couldn’t put any weight on the leg.  I told him he would walk w/o the crutches before the 2 days we were to be there were up.  That night he walked and the next day came back w/o the crutches.
**  So many healings it was impossible to count at times, and so many healings when we activated the people as they prayed for each other in the congregation.

We saw an unusual amount of demonic activity this time.  This is what one team member reflected on:  “… there is a big difference between learning about deliverance and being there seeing the manifestations themselves.  I was standing behind this guy with my hands on his shoulders praying for him when Heath began praying for him also. She looked at me and mouthed the words, “He’s going to go down.”

“No problem. The chair is right behind him.”  But, when he hit the chair, he immediately jumped out of it, fell to the floor, turned and began slithering like a serpent and thrashing about with his arms and legs.  Fortunately, Heath was there and started the deliverance process.

One thing I noticed was that the spirit she was dealing with seemed
to “understand” her English and partially responded and complied to her commands.  Carol and an interpreter eventually showed up and proceeded to complete the deliverance.  It was quite an experience and it was a privilege for me to watch you both at work.

Initially, I was thinking, “Why didn’t you tell us in training that
something like this might happen.”  Truthfully, you did warn us that
manifestations might occur.  Upon further reflection, I’m not sure you could “prepare” someone for the real thing.  It is something one has to experience.  Then, the steps of deliverance take on much greater meaning!”

GOD MOVES “OUTSIDE THE CHURCH”

Wonderful miracles in the church, but more of the fun happened outside the church meetings.  When we were there in April, one church had started an outreach to children from a very poor area.  Almost none of them are able to go to school, so there is not much hope of things being different in their lives w/o the intervention of the church.  And the difference in these kids was incredible.  They now showed and glowed with the love of God.  Truly an honor to be with them, as we reached out to them, and they reached out to us.  Then to go to a ministry that ministers to 20+ kids ages 2-12, who are at high risk because their mothers are prostitutes.  A great ministry that is doing such an important work.  We spontaneously took up an offering, without knowing anything of their needs – it just seemed like a good thing to do.  Turns out, they were in need that very moment.  The head of the ministry went to a back room and broke down in tears of gratitude.  And God’s power came as an 8 year old girl received her sight in her right eye when a couple of the team members prayed for her!!

We then went from kids at high risk, to the people who were to protect them from such high risk – the main police station.  One of the people in the church we had been in back in April is an officer with the anti-terriorism division and she had arranged for us to come in and minister to anyone who would come.  Thirty five officers out of the 250 showed up.  We were told to keep it pretty low key, and we did – but God came anyway.  Many touched, healed emotionally from much stress and many physical healings.  She then told us that some of the officers didn’t know the Lord, so we gave an altar call – and 15 people were added to the Kingdom!!

This is how one team member described it:  “The police station was the most powerful event of the trip in my opinion. We had no idea what to expect. It was such an incredible honor to be asked to come speak to and pray with these people. They work one of the most dangerous jobs in the world, police in what has been the most dangerous city in the world. Many of these people have bullseyes on their foreheads. It really fills you with a sense of who the heck am I to be here. We saw some incredible healings here. I prayed for one man who told me he had been in a firefight a few years before, fired his weapon too close to his ear, and it had been ringing since. As I was praying for his ear, he fell backwards into the chair and was completely healed.”

For the next three days we kept hearing the buzz.  Those officers who had not come began hearing the stories of how wonderful the ministry was from those “gringos” who came to the station.  Hopefully, we’ll have an opportunity to go back one day, but we’ve opened the door for future ministry teams to go in.

MINISTRY IN VACAVILLE

This next week, we’ll be returning to our church in Vacaville to conduct a Sozo School.  It’s sold out, but we will be ministering at The Mission on Sunday the 28th, and will lead a Healing Service at 6 PM that night.  We’d love to see you if you’re in the area.  Blessings.

ONE DAY, WE’LL ALL KNOW JUST HOW GOD USED US

This is the main point — and I believe, an important one – of this report.  And then some great stories and testimonies of God at work on the missions trail.

This was soooooo fun to hear.  In December, one of the men this church has taken into their program to rehabilitate those coming out of alcoholism, broken families, drug addicts, etc, went through a fire tunnel.  Afterwards, I prayed for him.  While out, his spirit left, saw the lights, and when he came back to himself about 15 minutes later, his blind right eye had been healed!!

And here’s the major point of this report.  The testimony is sooooo important.  We had not heard that and it would have been – and is – so encouraging.  When something happens – healing, deliverance, salvation, provision, the mighty works of a loving God –- it’s important to let someone know.  It will encourage them when they need it most.  It also underscores another point.  I believe when we get to heaven, we’re going to run into people we’ve prayed for, had a word for, did a kind act for, etc.  We’re going to find out what God did through us, that we never knew about because we never saw them again.  It’s only because we went back to this same church that we know this testimony.

BACK TO BRASILIA

The assignment – continue the revival training in Brasilia.  We had led a team for Randy Clark’s ministry, Global Awakening, last December, and the leadership of one of the major, influential churches there wanted us to come back and pour more into their vision for revival in Brasilia.  This time it was just the two of us, so we asked a couple who have traveled with us before, John & Laura from Ankeny, IA, to join us.  We have seen and prophesied they would do what we do, and this was their coming out time.

DECEMBER’S DEPOSIT DEVELOPES DIVIDENDS

We had six nights and five days with the church.  We taught on the prayer model for Healing and Deliverance, talked about the Glory and experienced it, about ministering outside your comfort zone to see miracles, and challenged them to greater hunger.  Many, many healings and even some deliverances.  But one of the fun things about a trip like this only eight months after you’ve been there is to see what kind of effect you’ve had.

They are moving in a greater anointing for healing.  They are pressing into the Lord – everyday the church is open in the morning and there is always someone there praying.  Their regular services can easily last six hours – and our final one Sunday night did – and they think nothing of it.  Ready for more!  Some of the things we saw happen:
** Called “turtle” because he had hurt his ankles 8 years ago and literally couldn’t run.  He ran!
**  Bass player developed problems in his playing fingers and even suffered partial numbness – totally healed!
**  Pastor’s 15 year old son – had prayed for friends at school silently, but no boldness to do it openly.  During the “Glory” service, he was taken to heaven, told and shown what boldness would be like for him.  Next day, he prayed for a young girl’s swollen knee in front of everyone and it was returned to normal!
**  A woman came to the service the day after a couple prayed for her in the intensive care unit at the hospital.  She was much improved, but that night two of us had words of knowledge for  “heart valve” and that’s the problem she had.  Pain left, breathing got normal – and then she got saved!!
**  Woman with pain in her breast – told the Lord “I want you to heal me” – and He did when I called her out and touched her —– on the hand.
**  Pastor’s sister, always under a “dark cloud.”  I did deliverance – she literally glowed for the next 3 days we were there!  No fear, no depression!
**  John & Laura led the meeting at another church.  They prayed for a man on crutches.  He couldn’t put any weight on his leg and there was much pain and swelling.  The pastor took a video while the prayer was ongoing and it shows him slowly starting to bend his knee, start to gingerly walk, give his crutches to someone and for the rest of the night he walked normally!  C’mon!

HEALING SEMINAR – THEN ANOTHER SOZO SCHOOL

ENCOURAGEMENT FOR SUPERNATURAL PROVISION

My hope is that this will be an encouragement to anyone who is believing for a supernatural financial breakthrough, and struggles with that little voice that keeps reminding you “But this doesn’t make any sense.”

PROPHETIC WORDS = CHANGE

Many prophetic words last summer—“a change in your ministry,” “A shift around the end of Oct, beginning of Nov ’07,” “An increase in authority, shift to a new level.”  All great.  But what did it mean?  Then September ’07, Cali, Colombia.  Prophecy from an apostolic couple whom we trust, but who know absolutely nothing about us.

“New office.  Don’t be afraid to leave the old office for the new (because it’s unknown).  I am making a big change.  You’re going to set whole churches into a whole new level of revival.  And the world is going to seem like just as familiar to you as your backyard.  I’m gonna’ sustain you because where you go the fire is going to go with you.”

“I’M GOING TO DO IT — ‘REST’ IN ME”

And this is the part that started to really hit us (especially me)—“And you’re going to look at it and go Lord, I don’t understand.  Where is it all coming from?  All this power, all this provision, all these resources?  The Lord says to enter into His  (another word for ‘trust’) ‘rest.’  And you’ll know His rest in a new dimension because it’s so out of your reach, so out of your understanding.  It’s so impossible.  No matter how you’d humanly work at making it come to pass, you still couldn’t do it.  I will do everything, I’ll put the pieces together, bring all the people, all you need.”

I KNOW IT DOESN’T MAKE SENSE — BUT SELL & LEAVE THE FAMILIAR

January – God made it abundantly clear, such that even we couldn’t miss it, that we were to return home to San Diego.  It was about family, and about a new assignment He had for us.  Carol’s mom and step-father had just moved into an assisted living facility.  She couldn’t sell her home in this market.  Would we want it — yes.  So, re-modeling began — and here was the sticking point for me — but we wouldn’t know exactly how much it would cost until we had begun the process (but, that doesn’t make any sense.  You don’t commit to start spending money before you know all the financial ramifications — can anyone relate to this?).

And what about our house in Vacaville?  We bought at the very height of the real estate frenzy 3 years ago — we couldn’t sell — that didn’t make any sense.  Once again, God through a series of prophetic acts made it abundantly clear,  “Unplug and reset.”  Those are the things we had to do 10 times to our computer, printer and DVD player over a 24 hour period.  Once — coincidence, 5 times — better pay attention, 10 times — God’s talkin’ to ya!

House on the market.  Don’t know if you’ve noticed, but it has been less than a stellar real estate market lately.  Depressing financial news every day.  And the improvements on the SD house should be ready by early April.  Vacaville house hasn’t sold yet — how’s that going to work — double payments?  But we ran into problems that had to be solved before we could take possession of the house.  In the meantime, we lowered the price of the house to the absolute lowest we could go, now wondering if a sale would appraise.  That’s a whole new ballgame for real estate these days.

SO CLOSE TO BLOWING IT

We set June 13 as the day to have the moving truck come.  We had just about decided we had heard wrong from God about selling and would have to lease (that’s how the enemy works — fear), when a buyer came in, agreed to our terms, and said “The house is going to appraise, I’ve got a good appraiser and the loan will be no problem.”  Our real estate agent is more left-brained, analytical, logical thinking like me.  A believer, but also a realist.  But, remember what God said.  He would take care of everything.  There’s so much more to tell, but the bottom line is the appraiser came in, loved the house, gave it a good write-up, the loan went through like the buyer’s agent said it would, and the house closed a week after we moved out.   Oh, and the house in SD was finally finished — exactly on time — the day our moving truck picked us up in Vacaville on Friday the 13th (no triscadiscaphobia here).  We moved in the following Monday.

A GOD ORDAINED TRANSACTION

God brought the exact right buyer for the house, great credit score, loan approved, the right appraiser, and got us moved into the SD house right on time.  As I look at all this I have to shake my head.   In so many ways, it didn’t make any sense.  It wasn’t logical to sell in this market, but we are convinced we did absolutely the right thing.  And we saw the hand of God on this transaction.  It makes me go to that place that says I’ll never NOT trust God again — for anything.  Just thought this might be encouraging for some during these interesting, challenging economic times.
