HE RENEWS CHURCHES—AND MARRIAGES
Carol and I have an incredible testimony of a marriage being saved by God in this renewal, and we often tell it and have had many marriages saved as we have prayed for them. This is a great story, too. We just finished a week at Heartland Assembly Of God in Ankeny, Iowa. We’ve now been to this church three times, and they are truly on the path to revival, and impacting their culture. During the week, Carol taught at night on Sozo ministry, and during the day, we Sozo’d many of the leaders of the church. Now, a great precedent for this is The Toronto Airport Church, which had Elijah House ministry done to all the leaders and prayer team members before the Toronto Blessing broke out. Hmmmmm.
WATCHING TV CAN ACTUALLY BE GOOD FOR MARRIAGE
Five years ago, a couple at this church had a very rocky marriage, destined to fall to divorce. The husband left but the wife held on to believing that he would come to his senses and come back, so the church stood with her and prayed. There were many times when the people of the church told her “He’s not coming back,” but she wouldn’t give up—and would urge them to keep on praying. A month ago, she went to attend a conference and he came to take care of the kids. While flipping channels, he came upon a program featuring Rodney Howard Browne—and he got “wacked!” He said he tried to change the channel, but couldn’t. Some days later when he went to pick his ex-wife up at the airport, when she got in the car, he got “wacked” again. She was carrying something from the conference—and from all those years of standing on the promise of his coming back. Well, they’re getting re-married in December. And for good measure, he was one of Carol’s live demonstrations for a Sozo done in front of over 100 people. She does this so those being trained can get more than just information, but actually see how the ministry is done. It was one of the easiest Sozos she’s done, and there was such an anointing. Afterwards, when we prayed for them, they BOTH got “wacked.”
THE RINGING STOPPED!!
After the six session Sozo training, we ministered at the church’s regular Saturday night and Sunday morning services. We had so many things happen, and much healing, but we seemed to walk into a special category of healing. We are seeing this happen more and more in our meetings. Bethel Church in Redding has had incredible success for the healing of broken bones. Bill Johnson has said when he talks about how normal it is for tumors to shrink in the presence of God, they do. We have had almost 100 % success in seeing carpel tunnel syndrome healed, and lately it’s been “planter’s faciitis” healed. But Saturday night, when I had those who had pain or a condition that needed to be healed stand and put their hand where it hurt, this time it was for ringing in the ears. The first man had worked in the Firestone plant for 32 years and had developed ringing in the ears from the noise of the machines. Having had that myself since ’68, I can testify to what an incredible blessing it would be for the ringing to stop.
