ANATOMY OF A HEALING

I can't prove this, but I believe I'm seeing an
anatomy of a healing. This is not a formula, but
there are lessons to be learned. And I believe if any
of the elements had been missed--and in fact they had
been missed in the past--the healing would not have
happened.

THE SEED

We met this young woman at a church in the Midwest 2
years ago. She has suffered with Reflex Sympathic
Dystrophy/Complex Regional Pain Syndrome caused by a
car accident five years ago. We understand that at
one point she was healed, but subsequently the problem
returned and she was confined to a wheelchair. We
don't know how long she's been in the chair, but it's
been at least 2 years that we've been going to the
city she lives in.

Some months ago, she went to a conference where Bill
Johnson was one of the speakers. Bill prayed for her
and said he believed she would be healed. She
believed she had heard from God that she would see her
healing, and we believe he thought it was going to
happen in those meetings. It didn't, but I've got a
strong conviction that a seed was planted and the
first element of the anatomy of this healing began.

THE IMPORTANCE OF SOZO

At the end of April, we went to this church where we
had previously taught on Sozo. This is the Greek word
for salvation, healing and deliverance--it's the
complete package. It's the healing of the wounded
heart, the deep inner hurts of life.

Now, her mother was like the four friends in Mark
2:1-12. They were faced with a paralyzed friend and
no way to get him into see Jesus, but they wouldn't
take no for an answer. You know the rest of the
story--they lowered him through a hole in the roof and
Jesus forgave his sins and healed him. Her mother
knew Carol would be doing some Sozos to continue the
training and equipping of the Sozo ministers of this
church, and she politely, and consistently,
volunteered her daughter to be Sozoed--even though
they don't attend that church. There's a lesson here
isn't there? Something about "pressing in,"
"contending" for your healing. And sometimes it's
enough for someone else to have the faith for your
miracle.

They agreed to minister to her and Carol and the other
Sozo ministers who were with her felt like there was
the distinct possibility she would get up and walk
after dealing with some of the unforgiveness in her
heart, some of the deep woundings she had carried.
She didn't, but there was an incredible peace that
came over her and they left knowing her healing was on
its way. This dealing with the hurt and unforgiveness
had been a major key in what was to be the anatomy of
this healing.

THE ANOINTING

We left to return home Saturday morning and our
friend, Leif Hetland, was conducting the Saturday
night and Sunday morning services. In addition to our
being there to continue some Sozo training, we were
speaking with Leif at a pastors and leaders meeting
all day Friday. That Saturday night, Leif spoke
regarding an issue of healing the wounded heart, and
she rolled forward and received ministry. The seed
planted by Bill Johnson, the healing of her wounded
heart and the releasing of unforgiveness she held, the
ministry she received from Leif, the anointing of the
house and the strong healing anointing Leif carries
all came into play.

At some point she stood for about 20 seconds ("don't
dispise the day of small beginnings"). Later, it was
for about a minute. Then she walked a few steps, then
many more steps. There was a video made that picks up
where she is standing and talking with everyone about
what has happened. She begins to walk and then run!!
It is absolutely stunning! This is the link:

That was seven weeks ago. Since then, she has already
been on a missions trip to a foreign country! This is
something she hasn't been abe to do because of being
confined to a wheelchair. All I can say is "WOW!"

SOZO SCHOOL

As I said, I don't think this would have happened
without all the elements being in place. I do know
that a very important element was the Sozo that she
received. We believe it is so vital to the Christian
life and to the churches which are expecting a harvest
coming. We've gone into several churches to teach
Sozo, and August 9-11 we will be holding our first
Sozo School at our church in Vacaville, CA. There is
information on our website (www.dewnamis.com)
regarding the schedule, registration fee, etc.
Information will also be posted on the church website
soon (www.tmvv.org). This school is for anyone who
would like to know more about Sozo ministry, how to
establish a Sozo ministry in your church, or to be
trained to be a Sozo minister. Please contact us if
you're interested in this school. Blessings.
