AIDS IS A “DISORDERLY” BLOOD DISORDER

“She came to the meeting in Maryland with full-blown AIDS.” That was how I opened the healing service at our church, CLC in Vacaville, Sunday night. I continued. “I didn’t get the chance to talk to her. So many questions. Did she REALLY think she was going to be healed? Did she come out of desperation because the doctors had given up hope for her? And why did she come to this meeting—Benny wasn’t there, or Bill Johnson, or Randy or Todd. Just a twenty-something year old young man named Jaime who most of you have never heard of. But he’s carrying something that God is working in him. Without knowing anything about this woman, he called her out and said ‘you’ve got a blood disorder, don’t you?’ When she said she had AIDS he said “Well, that sounds pretty disorderly.” As he called her up to the platform, a gift of faith came over him. He then said something like “The Lord Jesus heals you!” When I met her two months after this meeting, she said she felt like something “stepped out of her.” When she went to the doctor the next week, he was amazed when he got the test results and they showed absolutely no sign of AIDS or the HIV virus! WOW!!!

GOD WANTS TO “WOW” US

That was my point for the night. God wants to come and “wow” us in this present move of God. And I believe the stakes have been raised. I believe we are going to start seeing even greater signs and wonders and miracles. Now, it would be great to go on to tell you stories of what happened to the 85+ people assembled during the ministry time at this service and have you go “wow” as you read this report. But, I have a simple story of a healing—and it made me go, “WOW.”

SEVERE PAIN MEETS ANOINTED PRAYER TEAM

Jim is probably about 70, and recently had to go to the doctor for tests. Somehow in all the testing they did something with electrical currents and it caused a problem in his back. Muscles knotted up, he was left in severe pain, and now he had to walk with the aid of a cane. Just moving was painful, and going up and down stairs was torture. He came to the altar after the morning service and told me of his condition. Frankly, I was shocked to see the cane and how much pain he was in and how hobbled he seemed to be. This was not the Jim I knew. That night as I taught, I focused on encouraging both the people who had come for prayer, and the prayer team. God really does want to flow THROUGH you and TO you. I cited many stories in the bible where it says the people were “amazed” or they “marveled” at the power of Jesus or the disciples. During the ministry time, Jim went to one of the prayer teams. They prayed quite a while and I could tell from a distance that they were getting results. At the end of the meeting, Jim came up to give his testimony. He had received complete relief from the pain and the debilitating affects of his injury. He could bend side-to-side, bend down, and move all around—with no restrictions or pain. Now, I know this isn’t the healing of AIDS, or cancer, or some rare sickness that is going to kill him. But having just recently crossed off another birthday which is moving me closer to this age, I can testify it was a BIG deal to him. When it’s your pain, it’s a big deal, and it only seems to be multiplied with age. The blessing for me was to see him walking (almost skipping) all around the room. And then I saw him walk out of the meeting—carrying his cane. And it was a “ WOW—thank you God for what you did. Thank you, God, that you care about AIDS—but you also care about the littlest thing. And you care about Jim’s back.” WOW,

GOD—THANK YOU FOR WHAT YOU DID

We had a lot of healings at this Sunday night service—this was just one of those stories. I was amazed at His faithfulness, and I marveled at how He used the prayer team to pour out His love and healing compassion. We get to bring messages of renewal to many churches, but we also do a lot of prayer ministry training, so it is gratifying when we see this team we have poured into for the past three years be so anointed. We have our next healing service at CLC scheduled for Sunday night, February 26. Come join us if you can. If you would like us to conduct a healing service at your church, please contact us through our email address or the website. Blessings.
