“WOO-WOO.” A THEOLOGICAL TERM

I want to be a “woo-woo” person. Maybe I’m already
turning into one. “Woo-woo” is a theological term for
“those who are way out there, strange, odd, mystical.”
They’re the ones who come up to you and tell you about
the angels they saw in the meeting, the ones who are
so prophetic they find meaning in everything. They are
the ones who hear God say to drive the bridges of a
community and pray against attack. My left brained
logic says “There’s no attack against the bridges”,
but I know they’d just go “See, our prayers are
working, what if I didn’t pray!” But I confess, I do
want desperately to see angels, I do believe God
speaks to His people, I do believe he calls us to go
outside of our comfort zones—especially if we want to
see miracles. And I do want to see the power of God
for signs, wonders and miracles.

“THE LIGHTENINGS OF GOD”

I heard this story recently on a cd. A man from the US
went to Liberia to hold a crusade. He had the
privilege of meeting the interim Vice-President of the
country, who told him “I think God has forsaken our
country.” It had been in civil war for about 14
years, and it was devastated. As the man was doing the
crusade meeting that evening, a motorcade pulled up
and it was the Vice-President. He came to the platform
and told the man he had come to see a demonstration of
the power of his God. No pressure there. For the next
ten minutes the man gave it everything he had, he
preached the bible of signs and wonders. After he had
preached all he knew, he remembered he had heard of a
speaker calling down the “lightenings of God” once in
a meeting so he finished with that and then waited.
After about five minutes one of the local pastors came
to him and asked what he was doing. When he explained,
the pastor said he should do something but the man
said he would continue to wait. A sudden wind blew
thru the stadium and after a couple of minutes, they
all heard a voice in the crowd saying “I can see.”
Then another voice saying the same thing. They sent
some pastors to check out what was happening and when
they reported back they said “It seems like all the
blind can see and the deaf can hear.” Then the Lord
spoke to him and told him to bring a man up to the
platform who had a withered arm, but don’t touch him.
It grew out in front of everyone! The lightenings of
heaven had fallen. One of the soldiers guarding the
Vice-President leaned over to him and said “The
American’s God—He is God!” The Vice-President
addressed the crowd and said that now maybe the birds
can sing again and the children can play. It was an
event that changed the hope of a nation. Shortly after
that, the first woman to be president of an African
nation was elected—a Spirit-filled woman!!

AN ANGEL CALLED BREAKTHROUGH

Many of you are probably familiar with a posting
recently on The Elijah List from Paul Keith Davis
regarding a vision that Bob Jones had. In this
account, he was visited by the angel who has been
assigned to the US called “breakthrough.” On Sunday,
April 23rd, we were in the LA area finishing a weekend
meeting to teach on Sozo ministry. Since it was right
in the middle of many celebrations of the 100th
anniversary of the Azusa Street Revival, I gave a
message on the Prophetic History of This Present
Revival. I pointed out all the prophetic signs and
revelations that had preceded the Toronto outbreak,
and especially Bob Jones’ involvement. The point
being, if God was speaking thru His people then and it
came to pass (and it did), then shouldn’t we be paying
attention to what He’s saying now. Well, after getting
excited about the “ligthtenings of God” story and
about hearing about an angel called “breakthrough” who
will bring a breakthrough that comes thru healing, I
had just enough “woo-woo” in me to go for it in
ministry time with a somewhat reserved Philippine
congregation who were mostly new into this present
move of the Holy Spirit. As the people came forward
for ministry, I called down the “lightenings of God”
and for there to be “breakthrough.” TWENTY-FIVE people
were healed instantly. One woman got up and walked for
the first time in years without her cane after only a
moment of prayer. Now, I’m not so vain to think that
the angel called “breakthrough” showed up in our
meeting, but maybe, just maybe we did have
breakthrough!

I’M ENCOURAGED—LET’S BELIEVE FOR BREAKTHROUGH

Here’s the encouragement. I believe God is really up
to something. Some examples: Several weeks ago in
Texas I prayed and prophesied over a young woman about
the flashes of rays coming from her hands ( Hab
3:4)—she emailed later and said when she prayed for
people now, many times they “feel” electricity coming
from her and they’re healed; this meeting where God
just broke in suddenly with terrific power; several of
the students in our church’s School Of the
Supernatural praying last night in a Fijian village
for a woman paralyzed since August. She got out of her
wheelchair, weeping and speaking in tongues! I love
it. WOO-WOO.

By the time you are reading this, we will be in the
middle of our training and equipping in a large AG
church in Fiji, holding four Healing Crusade type
meetings with our pastors and the 39 students from the
Potters House School Of The Supernatural at our church
in Vacaville. On the 10th-12th, we will be doing
meetings with Fusion Church in Auckland, New Zealand,
and on the 13th, 14th we will be at Palmerston North
Christian Fellowship.
