The Measure Of A Life
I think the measure of a life well lived shows up with what people say about you. The outpouring for Carol when the word got out that she had passed was nothing short of overwhelming — in terms of what was said, but also in how many commented.
This is just a little of what has been said so far:
Jan: Thank you Bill for sharing your incredible life of your beautiful bride … all our hearts break yet rejoice … what a treasure we all had here on earth … we thank God the Father for you both.
Kristina: Yes, beautiful Mama Carol will be missed so much! Words cannot express the impact she had on my life and the lives of countless others. I loved her so and will miss her.
Ed: As we journey, we meet special people along the way that have impacted our lives. You and Carol will always have a special place in our hearts as you have taught us how to pray and expect miracles. We don’t always know the why’s but we do know that God’s got a special plan for you as your ministry reaches a new level and you have a new advocate in heaven.
Carolyn: Bill…you both have carried the light of Jesus to all of us, each one in a very unique way. Carol’s heart to see others free and her diligent love demonstrated in the process were so very precious to be a part of. Her gifts left among us remain in our hearts. Will continue to lift you and the family up to our Abba Daddy who is all sufficient each step of the way that lies before you. Thank you for sharing your lives together with us and for your constant encouragement. You are loved. His peace lead your heart each step of the way, our brother, into all He yet has for you this side of Glory.
Paula: Bill, we have prayed for you and Carol through the health challenges these past two years. We continue to pray for you as you walk through this temporary separation. You and Carol are such a great example of what marriage and ministry is meant to look like. One cannot think of one of you without the other.
Brian: Bill, I am so sorry to hear. Carol was coolest Presbyterian minister I have ever known.
Maria: She definitely was a Woman of God! Thanks for pouring so much in my life and Colombia. I will always remember her.
Tammy: She is soooo amazing and such a ball of fun!! She has truly touched so many lives! Your marriage is also a beautiful example to all of us! We are praying for you Bill and we know that He will be your strength and peace that surpasses all understanding. Carol is not “resting in peace” but she’s “rising in power!”
Michael: I met you and Carol at a leader advance in Redding several years ago…and then surprise, Carol was in the D. Min program as well. Really enjoyed the time spent with her! She was instrumental in turning a UTS morning service into a healing meeting!
Marcelo: Bill, what can I tell you right now. I was her interpreter in Brasil for years and for sure she was one of the best teacher, preacher, minister and friend I ever had. I will miss her very much, I pray Gods presence will be with you my friend.
Chris: It is hard to find the words to let you know how much you and your wife impacted us here in Vienna. I am deeply grieved by Carol’s death and eternally grateful for salvation. I bless you with peace!
Tam: I’m so very sorry Bill. Heaven receives a very powerful saint! I’ll always be thankful for the time early in my ministry when you spoke at my church, and released the Holy Spirit in a powerful way; and for your amazing sozo teaching. You have both had such a huge impact on my ministry.
Tif: Praying for waves of His goodness and peace to cover you! From our first meeting at VCF 16 yrs ago, I was so impressed by Carol’s grace, powerful teaching, and loving manner. I told God that I wanted to be like her. Powerful and gentle! She was a precious gift to the world and all who knew her! I will miss her hugs! I know she is dancing with Jesus.
Michele: So much of who I am today is because of the love Carol poured into me and what I learned from her.
Mark: My wife and I are thinking and praying for you! It was such a delight to have spent time with Carol and see so many lives transformed by her persistence and love! I remember the taxi ride in Fiji from First landing to the Waterfront and the healed taxi driver
Alison: I will always treasure sitting on the floor with Carol while she prophesied, “New thing, new thing, new thing!!” Such simple words and in 18 months, my life would be completely changed. But what I remember was that she held my hand and I felt I had a friend with me for the future I could not see. My goodness, How she will be missed and how thankful we are for her in this life.
Wayne: Bill you know how much you both mean to us. We are so sad but will always cherish our sweet times together. Riding around in that car on the wee roads of Ireland comes to mind.
Jolene: She changed me and changed my life because she believed in me in such a wonderful way. I will continue to pursue the example of love she left behind.
I can’t help but think He’s said, “well done, good and faithful servant and friend.” Carol, you ran the race well, finished well, and I will be ever grateful we got to run it together. I’ll keep on until I join you one day. Bill
Thank you all for standing and contending for her and me, and now interceding for me.
